This scene in Andrei Tarkovsky's "The Sacrifice" (1986) was shot twice. In the 1st take, when the house started to burn, the film in the camera jammed & couldn't be reloaded in time. The house was reconstructed within 2 weeks & it was set on fire again for the retake. |
